27/01/2021 Let the Reality Rule You

First hour was our Optional period we started class with a prayer.

Second hour was taken by Gibi ma'am, she defined the term psychology.

💡Psychology is the study of both covert          and overt behavior.

💡Education Psychology is the application of psychological theories, principle and techniques in the learning, teaching process.

Then ma'am introduced a really new concept to us that's  3 MENTAL SYSTEM

It consist of ,

🎈Id - Immediate impulse

🎈Ego - Functioning of mind based on              reality

🎈Super Ego - Work on the basis of ethical                            principles

We dedicated a song to 'id' saying "ishtamalleda enik ishtamalleda ninte soothrangal ishtamalleda......"

On third hour Maya teacher arrived she give us an idea about what all qualities a teacher need. She mentioned A-Z qualities a teacher should have, includes empathy, good mental and physical health, love, leadership qualities etc....

Hour after lunch break was grabbed by Joju sir. One who is super energetic who can handle students even in a dizzy state after having their lunch is our dear Joju Sir😊. Sir asked students in same optional to form an immediate circle. And ask one from each circle of to come forward and take a lott for panel discussion.Main topic was Social media addiction of children and its bad influence on them. And lott was prepared on How they can be corrected through different ways. We got lott number 3 " Were through Documentaries, Shortfilms and Videos, How we can prevent the overuse of social media by children and explain them about the consequences?.
Next, Sir divided whole students assembled there to form 8 groups and asked each group to form a proper circle. I was in 3rd group, all odd numbered groups were asked to discuss on the dangers of technology. We had a leader, timer and a report writer. Those ideas will be presented on coming days. 

Next hour which was I usually awaiting for, Yeah!! Its our Physical education hour. As Sir said earlier, with the help of Arya we understood the kho kho Game Rules, and played two rounds of the game...

✌Be happy, accept people who were not        considered by others because of their          character, love them, care for them, for        sure they will change...... Bring change        in you and try to hold others who need a      hand.......💛

 

29/01/2021 Give Flavour to Soul , Add Colour to Life, Try to Sweeten the Adversities and Ultimately Change the Destiny..... Be like me 👉 Cool Coffee Bean 😉

This morning was a delight to the eyes and the mind alike. On my way to college, I enjoyed the chirping of sparrows and the squeaky sound of squirrels. While travelling, when the bus reached Kesavadasapuram. I saw a large number of idols of lord Krishna lined up for sale on the road side. Apart from the Krishna idols, there were many other types of statues in it. They were all very beautiful and colorful. It gave me joy and warmth to the eye. 

The first hour was taken by Maya teacher, she started with the topic 'Class Management Tips'. 

There can be different types of students in a class. A teacher should understand the difference in their character and make them forefront in different activities. The students can be shaped according to their nature and this will bring improvement to the whole society. Then we discussed about the teaching skills a teacher should have.

Then she said a story on a Carrot, an Egg and a Coffee bean.

We should be like this coffee been, who made the colourful flavour of life even standing on its adversity. 

Next up was Ancy Teacher's Psychology class. The teacher, as always, began by asking questions from previous topics.

Followed by Gibi ma'am impusive class.The teacher talked about constructive energy and Sigmund Freud's "Psychoanalytic theory".

Then ma'am talked about the great dictator and tyrant of the 20th century Adolf Hitler, the leader of Germany's Nazi Party who was the reason behind the death of 6 million Jews.

Madam shared a portion from his autobiography "Mein Kampf". Its was about his child hood were we feel sympathy and compassion.''Hitler's Childhood'' tracks little Adolf from birth for about 11 years while his father, Alois, beats him up to get bleeded from the wound and humiliates him daily. His mother, leaved him alone in his childhood and his sister terrified him. May be these all were reasons for him to become increasingly inhumane without any real sense of limits.

Next class was taken by Joju sir. Sir presented a ppt  on how Digital Era helps in Learning and Teaching process and Roles of a Digital Era Teacher.

After that we had our lunch break. Then moved on to next hour were we have to go to library and collect notes on our Optional Subject.

Then after we went for our physical education class where we people formed a circle and played a game.....

28/01/2021 സംഗീതാനന്ദം നൃത്താതിശയം സ്നേഹത്തിനപ്പുറം ഏകയാന

Today I set foot in the college yard with lot of excitement and full of expectations. After a very quiet prayer we entered the yoga class. A new teacher taught us yoga. Every yoga activity was very interesting. We did all the yoga with great joy, enthusiasm and vigor. Sir also taught us how to do acupressure.

Next was Maya Teacher's class. Teacher introduced a term, competency. Competency is said to be the most essential feature a teacher should have. The teacher shared with us a lot of things related to competency. Then she talked about the importance of planning.

We discussed about, How a teacher influences a child? How he generates interest in the subject?. Transformation of love for the teacher as a desire to study that subject etc..

In the afternoon there was a commotion of artistic activities as a continuum of 72nd India republic celebration.
Under the leadership of the Ekayana Union comprising of seniors, the artistic programs organized by us, juniors were performed.

The program started very energetically  with a song sung by Sukanya from Malayalam department. After that, the English department performed a beautiful fusion dance-song program.

Maths department came up with a skit that contained a very good message. This was followed by a beautiful solo song by one of the student in Social science batch, as well as a folk song sung by all the students in Department of Social Science.

The next was a virtual tour of Himachal Pradesh organized by the Department of Physical Sciences. It was a beautiful and very different idea and after all it was a patriotic anthem from our own department of natural science at the very end.

After all the art shows, MayaTeacher, and also Joju sir appreciated the efforts of each department( we people).
Joji Sir told us the good news which was unexpected. Today was Maya Madam's birthday. We dedicated a Happy Birthday Song to Maya Teacher. After that we sang abother song "Katadi Thanalum Thanalthara Matilum". 

The teacher seems to be very happy. After that we sang Janaganamana and ended this beautiful event.

ആദ്യത്തെ ക്ലാസ് ഷൈനി ടീച്ചറുടേതായിരുന്നു.

ആൻസിയുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയോടുകൂടി ക്ലാസ് ആരംഭിച്ചു. അടുത്തതായി സഹപാഠിയായ പാർവ്വതി തമ്പി

ഒരു മഹത്തായ ഉദ്ധരണി ഞങ്ങളോട് പങ്കുവച്ചു.

ഈ രണ്ടു വാക്കുകളാണ് ഇന്ന് പരിചയപ്പെട്ടത്,

persuasion - ഉറച്ച വിശ്വാസം അഥവാ പ്രേരണ

deception - മറ്റുള്ളവരെ സത്യമാണെന്ന് വിശ്വസിപ്പിക്കാൻ ചെയ്യുന്ന കള്ള പ്രവർത്തിയോ രേഖയോ.

അതിനുശേഷം Functions of Science ഇലെ, ശാസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ disciplinary function, cultural function vocational function,  developing scientific attitudes, recreative function,  social function ഇനെ പറ്റി ചർച്ച ചെയ്തു.

അതിനുശേഷം Scientific Methods ന്റേ അവലോകനം നടത്തി ക്ലാസ് അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചു.

അടുത്തതായി Physical Education കൈകാര്യം ജോർജ് സാറിന്റെ

ക്ലാസ്സ് ആയിരുന്നു. സർ ഫിസിക്കൽ എഡ്യൂക്കേഷൻ ക്ലാസിനെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഓരോ കൂട്ടുകാരുടേയും അഭിപ്രായം അന്വേഷിച്ചു. അടുത്ത ക്ലാസ്സിൽ ആര്യയുടെ സഹായത്തോടുകൂടി കൊക്കോ ഗെയിം കളിക്കാം എന്ന്  സാർ ഞങ്ങളോട് പറഞ്ഞു.

സാർ ഇന്ന് അനുലോമ വിലോമ പ്രാണായാമം ആണ് ചെയ്യിപ്പിച്ചത്.

അടുത്ത ക്ലാസ് ആൻസി ടീച്ചറുടേതായിരുന്നു

JEAN PIAGET : Stages of Cognitive Development എന്ന ഭാഗമാണ് പഠിപ്പിച്ചത്.

അതിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന 4

ഒരു ചെറുപുഞ്ചിരിയോടെ അടുത്തതായി മായ ടീച്ചർ എത്തി.

വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന്റെ നിർവചനം ഇടുങ്ങിയതും വിശാലവുമായ വശങ്ങളിൽ വിശദീകരിച്ചു.

അദ്ധ്യാപകനും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവും വിഷയത്തിലെ "വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന്റെ സാമൂഹ്യശാസ്ത്ര പ്രക്രിയ" എന്ന ആശയത്തെക്കുറിച്ചണ് ചർച്ച ചെയ്തത്.

Triumphant journey to become Techno Student-Teachers 💻💻 20/01/2021

I had a great desire to attend an online class. But it would have been a great experience, when todays class was offline. Class began with a silent prayer. Sir introduced two new students joined in our college. One of them was highly talented girl Fathima, happily she's from our department [Natural Science]. Class started with a beautiful song "Aatunottundayorunni" by Fathima. 

Sir also recollected few lines of the song " Ente Khalibil Neyanu........". Sir taught the 'Technology and Communication in Education' portion of the Education Technology Paper. We discussed about the advantages and disadvantages of the technology. 

After that Gibi ma'am took the class, she was busy with the duty of University Examination. Even though she find some time for us. She asked to write about 3 teaches who inspired us a lot. I need to recollect all those best teachers in my life.....

19/01/2021 🌈The curtain of change has been lifted, and a new journey through online class...

Today we attended an online class it was a new experience.... From the masked faces in the classroom to the beautiful faces in the online class😀. I did not know exactly how many students were attending class in college, but after converting it into an online class I got the exact number of students. 

Class started at 9 am and the first class was taken by Ancy teacher. The teacher first gave an introduction about the Google applications and taught us how to use Google meet as well as how to create a Google Form. Then she slowly moved on to the subject and madam took the class on Developmental Task.

Joju sir took the next class. I have never seen such an energetic sir in my life. There was a little bit of fear in the first classes, But later on I was very much looking forward to hearing Sir's classes.

Sir told us about blog, as well as how to make YouTube videos, how to add picture to it and how to add videos. Sir said that there is a hero within all of us and gave many examples. He spoke about the life journey of the great actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. 

In the beginning he was ridiculed by everyone but he was a man who worked hard and never gave up on his goal. His hard work earned him the title of Mr. Universe seven times, as well as being one of the best actors in Hollywood. I was able to learn about those who overcame all the obstacles in life and moved forward including, William Shakespeare, James Watt, Abraham Lincoln, Charles Dickens, Nick James, Marie Curie, Bill Gates, Sachin Tendulkar, Jessica Cox, Pranjal Patil, Ummul Kher, Kochauseph Chittilappilly, Sivaguru Prabhakaran etc... 

Sir also let us know about the concept of education put forward by D.S Kothari and Mahatma Gandhi. As an end note Sir give as a valuable suggestion " Look at the positive things with open eyes, and don't give too much importance to obstacles.

Next hour was taken by our optional teacher, shiney Ma'am. The class started with Subinjit's prayer. We recollected about what is science, its definitions, functions etc.. Also we understood how science differ from other fields and also how science is used to solve a problem. 

 

FLY HIGH

I came out of the egg

Crawled through the leaves

Though the body was down, the mind was still in the sky

I would dream of flying through the clouds

I remember the rainbow copying its color to me

But I knew these were just hopes.

I buried such unfulfilled dreams inside the cocoon 

Blindfolded and darkened

I sighed and sang my funeral song

Suddenly, thin sunlight hit my eyes

I came out with a concussion

Thought I was going to fall down and die, something lifted me up and brought me up

A change has happened to me that I never dreamed of

I rejuvenated with rainbow-colored, wings of freedom

Today as usual we started with a prayer, Followed by the class on psychology by Jibi mam. She is handling the paper Educational Psychology. Today she taught us about concept of repression. Then we discussed about the history of relatively young science psychology and also the scope and different fields of psychology. 

We had an activity to draw a picture according to the instruction from the ma'am by placing book on the top of ours head. But my attempt to draw the face gone in a wrong way. From this activity ma'am want to convey us about the importance of mindfulness. Then we move on to another activity. This was quiet intresting, this is the one thing I like to do being someone else in a dream. Teacher asked some of the students to explain about their dream. Finally the session ended by explaining the meaning of first few lines of the song "Kal Ho Naa Ho"

Then we went for the  inaugural function of newly reopened canteen. After a prayer session by father we all gathered, there we got a sweet cake as a part of togetherness. 

.

Then we move on to attend the class of Maya ma'am, where we learned about "Characteristics of education", Concept of multiple intelligence and also dealt with how education can be considerd as a psychological.

When I reached the class one of my classmate written a beautiful quote and she explained us two new words.

 

After that we had a physical education session. We Natural Science students participated in the game.

Cactus, you only grow in deserts?

No, that I can grow anywhere.. but I like to grow in this desert

Here its windswept, barren and trackless then why do you continue here?

I don't want to go anywhere,

Gentle touch of the warm wind make me swing in this trackless path,

 This is where the roots of my desires rest...

What do you want ? 

I want to fill this whole desert with my flowers

The fragrance of these flowers should fill the entire desert,

Everyone should admire the beauty of the barren desert,

Everyone should enjoy the beauty of my flowers and not my thorns

May the heat of the sun take over my flowers and,

save the desert from the heat.

Desert wants nothing from me, never asked me anything never made fun of my thorns,

I wokeup earlier than usual and went to college. When I reached Bethany Hill, I was greeted by birds chirping.

The prayer was held at 9 p.m. One of my classmates wrote a very good quote on the board.

Two new students came into our class
In the second hour, Ancy teacher took a class on Principles of Development.

Followed by Joju Sir's class he shared
the age old saying “Winners don't do different things. They do thingsdifferently.”, made famous by Shiv Khera in his book You Can Win, is wrong.
Sir also explained the importance of prayer by quoting Gandhiji's words "Prayer is the key of the morning and the bolt of the evening.

A teacher has to be very skilled and technologically advanced. He said that a teacher must also rise to that higher level of teaching where to teach students who are advanced in terms of modern technology.

Sir also quoted that "Gratitude is the Attitude that will take us to greater Altitude". I think this is aboslutely true.

As always, there was a physical education class. It was raining a little so the class was held inside. Today we played a different game called 'Find the Leader'. The class ended with a shower of rain.

മഴയിൽ☔☔☔ 13/01/2021

ഇന്ന് ഒരു നല്ല ദിവസം ആയിരുന്നു. ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി ആരംഭിച്ച മഴ ഇന്നും തുടർന്നു.  അതിരാവിലെ ചെറുമഴ പെയ്യുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു, കണ്ണുതിരുമി മടിച്ചു മടിച്ചെഴുന്നേറ്റു, തുറന്നിട്ട ജാലകത്തിലൂടെ തൂവാനം അകത്തേക്ക് വിശി.
അല്പനേരം അഴികൾക്കിടയിലൂടെ പുറത്തേക്ക് നോക്കിയിരുന്നു. പച്ച പുല്ലുകൾ വെള്ളത്തുള്ളികൾ വഹിക്കുന്നത് എനിക്ക് കാണാം, ഇലകളീറൻ അണിഞ്ഞ് നിൽക്കുന്നു. 

ഇന്നലത്തെ മഴയുടെ ബാക്കിയായി തെങ്ങോലകൾക്കിടയിൽ തങ്ങി നിന്ന വെള്ളം തടിയിലൂടെ താഴേക്ക് ചാടുന്നു അത് ചുറ്റുമുള്ള കുറുങ്കാടിൽ മറയുന്നു.

താഴത്തെ പടികൾക്കടിയിലൂടെ ഊറ്റിൽ നിന്നുള്ള വെളളം പായൽ പിടിച്ച കല്ലുകളിലൂടെ ഉരുണ്ടൊഴുകുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

ഇവ മഴയുള്ള ഒരു രാത്രിക്ക് ശേഷമുള്ള പകലിലെ പതിവ് കാഴ്ച്ചകളാണ്. സൂര്യന്റെ സാന്നിധ്യത്താൽ ആകാശം തെളിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും കാർമേഘങ്ങളാൽ സ്വയം മൂടി ഉറങ്ങാൻ അവൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു.

സമയം കടന്നുപോയി. വൈകുന്നേരം ആയപ്പോഴേക്കൂം മഴ അവളുടെ എല്ലാ ജോലികളും പൂർത്തിയാക്കി അലറിപ്പാഞ്ഞു വന്നു. പതിവിലും നേരത്തെ ഇരുട്ടായി. 

ചുറ്റിതിരിയുന്ന ചിന്തകളും മധുരമുള്ള മഴയും അങ്ങനെ ഒരു ദിവസം കൂടി എന്നിൽ നിന്ന് കൊണ്ടുപോയി. 

ഇനി നാളെ, ഇന്നത്തെ മഴയിൽ ജനിച്ച പുതുനാമ്പുകൾ എന്റെ കൂടെ കണ്ണുച്ചിമ്മി ഉണരുമായിരിക്കൂം

Course commencement on 06/01/2021

First day in Mar Theophilus Training College started with a prayer song by our beautiful teachers.

Inauguration of our batch was done by Dr. Jibi madam in the absence of Respected Principal Dr. K.Y Benedict sir. Ma'am given us a warm welcome,

Orientation class started by our teacher Dr. Maya ma'am and for the first time after corona all of us gathered in the auditorium danced for the song 'Vande mataram'. It was a great experience for me.

Then all teachers introuduced theirself. After that DR. Rekhu Sir given a class about Time Management. It was very beneficial for me.

I experienced a positive vibe all over...☺
